I had the chance years ago to spend a week with army officers involved with Emercom. Does this still exist? I enjoyed spending time with russians during a training exercise on civil control during disasters. I made many friends and was given some really cool gifts as well. I gave away a lot of turquoise jewelry from the Hopi and Navajo tribes of Arizona as well as fire department belt buckles and helmets. They gave me a couple of bottles of pure russian vodka that I've kept in the freezer for a special occassion. I'm not sure what kind of firefighting you do but I can help you with pretty much any topic that is fire related with a special emphasis on WMD NBC+E issues / hazmat as well as wildland firefighting. I hope we can become friends. Stay safe and low! Mike from Santa Barbara, CA, USA
