Thanks for the comment. Actually our fires in this area are down but they do seem to be picking back up. I hate it for the homeowners but if it has to happen I want to be there. Stay safe.
Thanks, I got it right after i finished my academy classes and im never wearing anything else. you lid is really nice
Stay Safe, brotherhood above ALL else
sounds like you had a real worker on your hands, glad no one was injured and everyone went home safe, saturday night we had a mutual aid structure fire, we had to hand jack 1,000 feet of 3 inch hose and wyed off with two inch and three quarter, do to the driveway condition, used our 4x4 mule to haul equipment, responded with one tanker, one pumper rescue, mule and man power. minus 1 deg when we got tapped at 9pm. got back home at 1am, home was a total loss. we also have many pack rats in the area. looked at the pictures on your page not sure if that is the fire you just wrote about or not. talk to you later, be safe.
Actually have been out on injury past 2 years--healed now but not sure if I'll go back to So Pas. Looking for another department or to run my company www.emergilink.com full time.
The CG only has two stations now 1 in Kodiak Alaska and 1 in New York.
I did well in Alaska but the put me there becuse i had an AA in fire science befor i went in to the CG. Th Aire force might have a better plan for FF's a lot of my co workers came from the AF. If you go in make sure you get every ting in writing and make it a contract so if the AF decides to move you to amothe rate you have some leverage. The CG moves you to onother rate only if you want to go. But if you do go CG then DC (damage controlmen) or BM bosans mate are the rates that would put you in one of the fire stations.
