Well I found out that this year as part of the annual Pittsburgh Fire Expo the Scott Fire fighter Combat Challenge will be on site for the expo Oct 2-3. I hope that it will be accessible to everyone and not just the people attending the expo. With that said I have decided that I will be attempting the toughest 2 minutes in sports. So starting next week I will be beginning a training regimen that I can work around my FFI class and normal life. And maybe I can get a group of guys from my station so we can run a relay team as well. I hope all goes well and I can make a good attempt at one of the hardest challenges out there.

Im looking forward to seeing this my self and competing as well. Ill be happy with a run under 4 min, since this is my first attempt at this.
The challenge its self consists of thus. from the start in full PPE including Scott air pack and mask, carry a 42 lb high rise pack of 3 inch up five stories, place it in a marked box. pull up a 42 lb donut roll of 4 inch trom the bottom of the tower using rope, place it in a nother marked box. Back down the tower steping on every step on the way down. Over to the Keiser Force Machine a 160 lb sled that you have to use a 9 lb sledge to move a distance of 5 feet. place the sledge on a 3x3 mat. run a slalom corrce for 140 feet. then pick up a charged 1 3/4 inch line with a smoothbore nozzle, drag the line 75 feet through a door. once through the door knock down a target with the stream. shut down and drop the line. then its the home stretch pick up and drag a 175 lb rescue randy 100 feet. once randys feet cross the finish line the clock stops. You are alowed to die then.
