The Rochester Fire Department continued its change from Quint and Midi’s to Engine and Truck’s with the closing of Quint & Midi 1 and Midi 5. Engine 19 will now be assigned to the Charlotte station (Quint 1) while the old Quint 5 will respond as Truck 5. Midi 5 and Quint & Midi 1 have been disbanded as of this morning. The Charlotte Station will go from six firefighters on duty with an Midi and Quint to five firefighters on duty with just an engine.
