Notes from a Rookie Firefighter...May 19, 2012
Hello everyone, when I received an email from Brian M asking how I was since I hadn't blogged, I realized how long it really has been since I did.
I am slowly getting back to being me. The me before all the drama and heartache entered my life in 2007. Looking back, I wouldn't have been able to get through it without knowing I had hundreds of you in my corner, as well as my fire house.
I am still active in the FD and am in charge of our Facebook page and help with recruiting initiatives. One of my sons started his application with the FD and hopefully in the fall will be able to attend fire school.
I try to volunteer at every opportunity I can doing something to help others. LOL this leaves me with very little time, most of which I spend working.
I am trying to change but when you are a workaholic it's very very hard!!!

How awesome it is to see you again. Since they changed the format of this site, I pretty much lost interest, and never made a point of visiting it much. But I never stopped wondering where, and how you are, (even though you pretty much laughed in my face when I proposed lol) and that was why I would check in - just to hopefully read something - anything from you. I never thought of going back and reading past issues.. which obviously was a huge mistake, not to mention the fact that I found it more time consuming and difficult to navigate this information (el toro pooh pooh kind) laden site.Words cannot describe the sunken feeling I had when I learned of your daughter. I am so happy things are getting back on track with you.
As Bob indicated, I am sure there are many many others who think it really IS good to have you back! :) Thanks Denise.
