I just took a deep breathe before I started typing this blog post. Today I did go to court, and to see your child brought in a court room with shackles is something I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy.
God was good though, and the judge fair and kind. Detention or a residential treatment program. She picked residential treatment, although she will have to stay in the detention center for awhile to get it going. Hopefully no more than a month.
Just wanted everyone to know. One foot in the right direction.
On my way there I was a basket case. I stopped at a sort of spiritual store in Morristown. I bought stones...I didn't have anyone at the time for moral support. And you know what? They helped. I just kept rubbing the STRENGTH one and then the THANK YOU one. It was the first time I came out of the courtroom, not feeling dirty, and full of negative energy.
When I was at the court house though, my volunteer firefighter attorney was there. I was never so glad to see someone. Felt like family was there.
If you ever need a good lawyer, let me know. He specializes in injured workers.
