Lubbock Firefighters Awarded the Medal of Valor

The Lubbock Fire Department awarded two firefighters the Medal of Valor during a ceremony this afternoon.
Firefighters Kyle Allen and Jerry Castro were honored with the prestigious awards for their swift-water rescue efforts of a man during the flood of Sept. 11.

Never rained like that when I up there. I read the AJ article about the rescue, guys did a hell of a job. They deserve it.
