FireRescue magazine is excited to announce that we’ll be giving out a poster depicting the “Rules of Engagement for Firefighter Survival” and “The Incident Commander’s Rules of Engagement for Firefighter Safety” at Fire-Rescue International next month. The poster will be available at the
FireRescue booth (#1142) and the IAFC’s Safety, Health and Survival (SHS) section booth (#1621).
The poster (pictured below) will also be included in the August issue of
FireRescue, so keep your eyes out for your copy! (If you can’t make it to FRI and someone steals your copy of
FireRescue, shoot me an e-mail at j.foskett@elsevier.com. I’ll hook you up.)
To read more about the poster, which was sponsored by Honeywell in cooperation with
FireRescue and the IAFC’s SHS section, visit the
FRI Blog.
FireRescue also printed the extremely popular poster “Shut Up & Train More … and 49 other tips every probie (and all of us) should know,” which was originally a Nozzlehead column in the August 2007 issue (p. 36).
This brings me to my questions: What posters do YOU want to see? What type of poster would be beneficial for every fire station to have tacked up in the kitchen, apparatus bay, sleeping quarters or, dare I say, bathroom?
I’d love to hear your thoughts!
