One of my favorites when responding to excuses for not performing given tasks. "I don't wanna hear the labor pains just show me the baby" TCSS.

I like it....But our old Chief had one I really liked....it was..."You don't have to like it....You just have to do it.."in reference to some of the things we did in training....I think it was during the Firefighter Survival course.....Paul

A switch on number 3 - Professional is in the actions, not the paycheck. And I agree with Robert on 5. I've played cop and fireman, and I like playing fireman best!
