We had a fully involved two car detached garage this morning. Upon arrival, flames were blowing from both garage doors. We tagged the nearest hydrant as the chief called for an engine from the next town over since our second engine was in the shop for repairs. I grabbed the nozzle as the captain & another firefighter helped stretch the line. As I walked across the front, I noticed only one vehicle in the garage & a second detached garage on the B side. Once I got water, we attacked the fire, staying away from the front of the car. a few minutes later, a second line was put into service. The fire was knocked down quickly. The roof had a partial collapse over the car. By 6:15 AM, we were back at station cleaning up. The cause is still under investigation.
