I did somthing of a similar nature for a tech class where we hasd to discuss how technology has changed in a field, I naturally chose firefighting. Here is some of the links I used, and then I took the info, compiled it into a more running timeline, and posted some thoughts about each point. Now what kind of paper is this? College? FD training class? What is the nature of the assignment?

OK, so whats the problem...? You might want to start with Benjamin Franklin...America's First Fire Chief or the Father of American Firefighting and go from there....use your head AND your computer......search engines will do wonders for you....This is the kick in the ass you need to get it done...you won't find a "spoon feed" here friend.....Good luck........Paul
