I only live 16 miles from this town so thats why I said this hits so close to home. So far we are up to only 1K for the fund but I'm sure it is going to grow

I think anytime a multiple fatality fire strikes it pulls at the heart strings of those of us in the fire and emergency services.

I don’t think I can even begin to imagine the pain this unfortunate family must be enduring after this tragedy. I reflect on the few fatal fire scenes that I have responded to with just one death, and the sorrow that is brought on to that family. Now seeing the loss turn 10 fold in Brockway, the anguish must be bottomless.

Not only do my heart and prayers go out to the surviving family members, but also to the community and to the firefighters of Brockway and their mutual aid companions. Nothing makes an individual more introspective as carrying the body of a dead child after a fire or accident. My hat is off to you brothers and sisters in Brockway and the surrounding area, and my heart aches along with yours. Look to your faith and to each other to help you through the difficult days ahead. You are all good people. Don’t ever forget that.

This is so very sad. I have read every article and watched every video I can find about this. Why? I don't know for sure, maybe because I want to feel the pain this family, the Brockway FD, and town of Brockway are feeling. This is one of the worst fires our commonwealth has ever seen.

Being from just east of Pittsburgh, yes this hits very close to home. And this region is sadly seeing more then its share of fire related fatalities. Somehow I can not help but feel that 10 persons living in a home without heat for 3 years.....somewhere, somehow, this family fell through the cracks of the system. We spend so much money on international aid and assistance, and yet our own neighbors are overlooked and forgotten.

This hits very close to home. This will go down in the states history as the most tragic fire ever. No matter where anyone lives , you have to feel for this family who lost so many. It could have happened to any of us. I'm working with the president and CEO of the company I work for to start a fund for this family. If anyone would like to help out in anyway , feel free to contact me and I'll gladly give you the contact number for the company and you can talk to the owner personally.
