Wow I just realized I clicked yes to accept way too many people as friends, and as a result I can't find the people who truely are willing to interact and network on the site. For those of you I speak with daily this doesn't pertain to you. For the others who are my "friends" if there is no interaction before the end of the weekend, You will be removed from the list. I don't need to have 10000 friends on the site to feel important, and I only think you should send a friends request if you truely are willing to interact only.

Thanks

12/MAR/08 addition to post ahead....

Some of you may have noticed you were removed from the list. (sorry J was overacheiving and you got bumped by accident) Others of you may notice I deny friends requests. The people I want on my friends list as stated above are those who establish either dialogue, or who are active in forum posting/networking throughout FFN. Don't take it personally, it makes it much easier for me to find the people I speak to on a semi daily (if not more than daily lol) basis.

Sean calls it "weeding the garden"....and I plan on doing the same thing--I have people on there that a.) I don't recall adding in the first place b.) I have no idea who they are or c.) we have never exchanged so much as a "howdy".
I dragging my garden hoe out of the shed (not ONE word Ted....so help me...) over the weekend and doing the same.

I think we talk on an occasional basis, but do what you need to do. I'll still talk to you just the same, I'm glad my list is short. Good Luck

Very good point. Only I need 10,000 friends :) LOL. But I'm insecure.

Seriously though, I think folks are learning as we go. This isn't much different than Facebook or MySpace, people have their personal preferences as to who are 'friends' especially since you can make blogs, photos, etc. visible to 'friends' only (not to mention all the 'have a good weekend'[ messages)

So whether you just want your own real friends, all your internet friends, or everyone under the Sun...you can easily add and remove friends and I suspect more 'friend management' tools will be forthcoming.

You can also manage your email contact/alert settings in regards to comments, blog and forum replies, etc. right via the 'my settings' link below the welcome message on the top right.

Keep surfin'!
