Fallen Firefighter in NC

Monday Night February 11, 2008. Firefighter James Arthur of the Coldwater Volunteer Fire Department Cabarrus County Concord NC. While responding to an emergency call James lost his life. James was a dedicated member of the Coldwater Fire Department along with his father Woody Arthur who is also the Assistant Chief of The Cabarrus County Rescue Squad.
James was 19 and traveling south on The Old Concord Salisbury Road, while going into a curve It appears that James lost control over corrected and his truck flipped several times. Firefighters and paramedics were on the scene within minutes and did everything that they could to save James. But I guess it just wan't meant to be. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as well.
James attended Concord High School along with my sons and they had fought some fire together in past.
Please remember James family, his extended family of the Coldwater Volunteer Fire Department, the Cabarrus Rescue Squad, during this very difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.
