Line of Duty Death is something none of us wants to put our families, friends, or community thru...thats you folks.

Our job is to fix the problem, not compound it. When are we as a group going to figure that out? Really...how many "LODD's" is it going to take before someone says, "Hey maybe we should not call unsafe responses anything other then what they are...a hazard to our communities".

10 mph over is the law...seat belts are the law...when conditions allow is the law. For the love of god Im tired of hearing about firefighters killing those we are charged with protecting and themselves in the rush to get there. Well guys and gals we olny help "IF" we get there!

Ill add more to this when I have more time...I have to get to the station in a timely manner. That means Im leaving myself a few extra minutes to get there....

Be Safe and Have a great day!

Frustrating, isn't it?
I will say again: LIFE SAFETY INITIATIVES.
I for one told our local police chief to stop and ticket any one of our firefighters who is driving in a careless and reckless manner while on their way to the station.
We have a rule in our village that no one is to respond to the station and use Main St. to do it, unless they are in a place of business, but then, they are to use due caution.
We can help ourselves with this very preventable LODD.
They we got to work on getting into better shape.
I hear ya, Allen.
