The call comes in, and the dispatchers send out their tones. The adrenaline climbs, the blood rushes, a chill shoots to the bone. As the engines go enroute, the lights are flashing, setting their pace, smoke pouring into the sky marking the spot where the battle will take place. Units go on scene, the fight will soon be under way. The battle will not end until all the flames are washed away. The hoses are pulled out, and the lines are laid, turnout gear is put on, their weapons aimed, and water is sprayed. The water reaches the enemy that once danced with so much fun. The warriors are wet and tired, but won't leave until their duty is done. When the last flame dies, and the smoke clears the sky, the hoses are put away, and their gear is taken off to dry. They leave in thier engines going back to the sataion where they stay. until the next tones go out, and a new war is underway. Men and women each day risk thier lives to make ours brighter, they are known as THE HERO, THE WARRIOR, THE FIREFIGHTER......
