I wanted to do something for the community. I also knew the chief since I was a small child, and I wanted to help people in their time of need.

The call comes in, and the dispatchers send out their tones. The adrenaline climbs, the blood rushes, a chill shoots to the bone. As the engines go enroute, the lights are flashing, setting their pace, smoke pouring into the sky marking the spot where the battle will take place.
