So here is the long awaited update to my Fat Guy blog.

Sams Club MS150
With the ride now 3 weeks away I am ramping up my miles weekly, with a 200 mile week 2 weeks from now. The MS ride will be over 150 miles in 2 days, and I will have ridden another 150 the week leading up to May 2nd.
So...Sometime around Sunday or Monday I will reach 1000 miles for the year.
That is 1000 miles on the bike, not in a car or a motorcycle, actually pedaling my Conti road bike. Most of the miles are restricted to a 20 mile loop I do almost daily, and a couple other weekly group rides that enable me to talk to others instead of listening to the same 80 songs over and over on my iPod. The rest have been for the most part ridden on my commute to the station, normally in the dark.
As for my fitness, I am comfortable with doing a 150 mile weekend, and I should be able to complete both days in about 8 hours of ride time. That comes out to about 18 miles per hour on the bike and as long as I dont crash, or just dont eat enough I should be able to meet that goal.
Well...time to get out and put another 25 in.
