Ice

Until recently, it was widely believed that ice was slippery because the pressure of an object in contact with it caused a thin layer to melt. For example, the blade of an ice skate, exerting pressure on the ice, melted a thin layer, providing lubrication between the ice and the blade.

Rig Fire

Went on my first rig fire today! It was way cool. I'm so glad I became a firefighter. The workover rig was a comlpete loss but we did get the gas well out. Was a brand new rig worth $1.5 million now its just a pile of scrap metal. Good training material for NOT WELDING AROUND OPEN GAS WELLS.
