Top Issues Facing Responders:
Around Here The Problem is finding volunteers in the last 10 years i have seen a big drop everywhere in diffrent fire depts and rescue squads rosters. Also i fell like the goverment is puting to many requirments on the small volunteer fire depts.

IN MEMORY OF 928 JOE HOWARD

I LIKE TO SAY ITS A SAD DAY IN HARLAN FOR WE HAVE LOST A GREAT CO-WORKER AND A FRIEND JOE HOWARD HAD JUST SERVED A WARRENT ON A PERSON AT THE DAY BRANCH TRAILIER PARK AND TRANSPORTED HIM TO THE HARLAN COUNTY DETENTION CENTER. HE CAME TO THE HARLAN POLICE DEPT AND SAID THAT HE WAS HAVING DIFFICULTY BREATHING AND AND REQUESTED A AMBULANCE HE WAS TRANSPORTED TO ARH WHERE A SHORT TIME AFTER HE PASSED AWAY.
