i have done my 5day initial training, 10 day BA training and also my 2day RTC.
About Me:
I am 23 years old, single and sharing an appartment in wrexham, North Wales. I am a retained firefighter, and i live 30 seconds from the firestation so when my pager bleeps i am always there 1st for a turnout. I really enjoy what i do, its definetly a job for life.
I have been very independant from the age of 16 years old, after joining the forces i did 2years, i enjoy the physical side and feel good that i am helping people.
the fireservice is a goal i have wanted to archieve. I am currantly doing my training and i really enjoy it. I would like to move abroad to do firefighting.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
It gives me confidence and i feel good that i am saving lives and helping the community.

It depends on where you go. The area here is fairly cheap. A two bedroom rents for about $450.00. You could always just come over and check it out for a week or two and see if its something you would like.
My name is Adel and I am trying to figure out what products are best for female firefighters. I have worked as a firefighter for only three years so I am just getting started. Currently I am a student at Eastern algerinne University in in the Fire & Safety Engineering Technology Program. Although I have only been a firefighter for three years I have had my fair share of small gloves that were still too big and pants that went up to my belly button! I was wondering if you could take the time out of your busy schedule to share some of your favorite/best fitting/most functional products for female firefighters. Weather it’s an awesome fitting pair of pants, A polo shirt that has sleeves that do not go down to your elbows, a pair of great gloves, or boots that have an awesome fit. It would be greatly appreciated if you could share your opinions with me. Thank you very much. Please feel free to e-mail me back at adel_pomper@hotmail.com or leave me a comment

hi claire thanks for accepting the invite, think its cool to talk to more retained firefighters cos its hard to explain what you feel when the pager goes off to anyone.I recently got involved in the training for Carlow Fire Service RTC team. just organising senarios for them preparing for the world rescue championship in germany next month. you will be amazed at you pick up week to week.i strongly suggest you locate your nearest team and train with them just for tourself. take care and stay safe!
