RE: Scene support we have a good auxiliary overall. the frustration I run into is we still have a number of members who think scene support if coffee hour they don't get that we can be a valauable asset to the department in helping keep a watchful eye on the FF for dehydration, heat exhaustion, etc. They also don't get that WHAT we serve does matter - we have FINALLY stoppped serving soda - after much information was brought forward educating about what the purpose of canteen is and a very blunt directive that we are NO LONGER TO SERVE carbonated drinks at scenes.
My son (8) is a great help - he commented one day, while we were transporting food & water to a scene "this is really important what we do - isn't it mom?" HE gets it, but some of the adults don't!
Steve took me into the ER on Sunday morning and I am still not out of the sick woods yet.
I was having an asthma attack, but by the time they got me inprocessed and the Dr got to me the asthma attack had calmed down and all he could find was sinus infection, laryngitis, and headed into bronchitis.
Yesterday I was upright for about 14 hours, the most I've been out of bed in about a week. LOL
Hope the rest of your week and weekend are perfect for you.
well it sounds like you had a rough patch too.lol. well the good thing is all is well and everything has been quite.

Thanks Tonia, that would be cool! I smell a road trip! The last time I was at Camp Grayling was probably 1993. Good times when our field exercises were over and we R&R'd at Lake Margareth (I think that was the name). Stay safe!
