About Me:

Well,I'm 37 years old and found my calling a little late in life.I'm a corrections officer at the Sheriff's Office and was turned onto the Fire Department by a coworker.I had some experience when I was younger with the Porter Kingston Fire Department but had to move away from their district.It wasn't until 2001 that I moved to another volunteer district and away from the big city lifestyle.Once my coworker talked me into joining the FD and the pager went off for the first time and I was able to respond I was hooked (again).I've met some great folks along the way on my department,as well as ems ,police,and other departments in and out of the state.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I think just about everyone here joined for the same reason,to help others and to give back to the community but I like the big red trucks.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

of the friends I've made and the rush you get the moment the tones drop,but most of all the smile on my son's face when he says my daddy is a firefighter
