EMT-B
68w (Combat Medic) US Army
Fire Prevention
Firefighter 1
About Me:
I'm Stephanie, 19 years old. Born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. Graduated from JI Case High School in 2009. During my senior year I took both EMT-B and fire prevention. In March of my senior year I enlisted in the US army reserves as a combat medic. I left for training in August of 2009 and returned back home early April 2010 with much more knowledge not only military-wise but also civilian-wise since the foundation of 68w (medic school) is EMT-B, so I had to take it over again....refreshers are always nice :) I completed my firefighter 1 taking Firefighter 1 in August 2010. I'm going to Bryant & Stratton College pursuing an associates in criminal justice, possibly bachelors soon afterwards. I am also completing my personal trainer certification to help people achieve their fitness goals. And call me crazy (since I apparently am not wanting to have a life, lol) but I also want to take paramedic as a night class through my freshman year of college as well. Obviously, I love to learn and love to take on challenges. I wouldn't be pursuing the fire/ems service if I didn't! Off of the subject of the fire service, I am a very outdoorsy person. Camping, 4wheeling, dirtbiking, fishing, archery, bow hunting, rifle hunting, you name it and I probably love it. I own 1 horse and 1 pony, both of which are like my kids til I possibly have some of my own one day. I barrel race locally and soon hope to pursue other shows with my quarter horse. I play volleyball for a bar league weekly and also wish to try out for a collegiate team this upcoming fall. I am an adventure seeker and an adrenaline junkie. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
My name is Adel and I am trying to figure out what products are best for female firefighters. I have worked as a firefighter for only three years so I am just getting started. Currently I am a student at Eastern algerinne University in in the Fire & Safety Engineering Technology Program. Although I have only been a firefighter for three years I have had my fair share of small gloves that were still too big and pants that went up to my belly button! I was wondering if you could take the time out of your busy schedule to share some of your favorite/best fitting/most functional products for female firefighters. Weather it’s an awesome fitting pair of pants, A polo shirt that has sleeves that do not go down to your elbows, a pair of great gloves, or boots that have an awesome fit. It would be greatly appreciated if you could share your opinions with me. Thank you very much. Please feel free to e-mail me back at adel_pomper@hotmail.com
