Sorry I am here again so late. I was busy last time, you know Euro 2012... Don't worry I understand you know Gravesend better than me. But I remember this town as a calm and nice place. And that huge Thames... I visited also Birmingham and London of course. Great times. Best regards. Stay safe!
Roy, our station houses two engines/pumpers,two tanker/tenders -2000 gal. for hauling water, one brush/grass truck and one ems first response truck. We don't have a hydrant system in our small village so we have to pump water from a lake, haul it to the fire scene. We have twenty firefighters and 12 ems responders. I will send you pics of our station and equipment, take care!
Roy, are most of the buildings in the uk made of solid wood, concrete, or composite materials? What is the biggest challenge for uk firefighters when battling a building/dwelling fire?

Hello from Wroclaw. A few years ago I was in Kent, Gravesend where my fiancee has a family. A very nice place indeed.
Enjoy the site!
Stay safe!
