About Me:

I am a 31. I enjoy outdoor activites. I equally enjoy quiet nights at home and bonfires and beer in my back yard with a group of friends. I am not afraid to be myself. I am who I am, and don't have a need to broadcast it. However, in EMS I can ruffle my feathers and hold my own if needed.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I was a block from 9-11 in NYC. That day as I watched around me, I could do nothing but help myself. It was on that day that I promised that I would never feel like that again. Today I have the ability to save lives by putting mine on the line.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I love seeing the smile when I come on scene and the patient sighs relief.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Meeting other gay responders. There is a lack of community in the tight knit community that we live. There still stands prejustice and harrassment.
