Why I Joined Fire/EMS: after 9 years in the army and 2 UN Peacekeeping trips to Lebanon, see them orphan kids eating the scraps of food that I drove to the trash heap, i started to bring fresh stuff with me and fed the little ones who could not get in the back of my truck, to make sure they got something to eat ,thats when i wanted to do what i do now, and i love it

My family went down to the Chicago Southside parade and then came home for our traditional Corned Beef, potatoes and cabbage dinner... we like it.... I met 3 lads from the Dublin FB and sent and email to the your Fire dept. to say it was an honor they were in Chicago.

Can't wait to visit Dublin and possibly Cavan, where my my descendants emigrated from in 1847....
