Paramedic Supervisor/Community Educator, I do believe I have one of the best jobs in the world.Except for long hours and being underpaid. I enjoy teaching Paramedic students in the field, currently back in college AGAIN. Would like to eventually teach Paramedic Students in a college setting.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
To have a active role in my community.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Its never the same, and of course I get a kick out of the stupid things that people do.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
HaHa....

Medicare and Medicaid lack of reimbursement, which eventually leads to the lack in our paychecks.
Lack of qualified EMTS and Paramedic.
Lack of Professionalism.
Need of stricker standards in allowing any Joe Smo to become a EMT/Paramedic.
Lack of recongition by the Federal Government.
