About Me:
I am twenty one years old. A second generation firefighter. My father was on the job for 35+ years and retired as a Captain of the same department of which I am on. I work at the Fairhaven Police as a dispatcher and Fairhaven Fire as a Call Fire fighter. I am enrolling in paramedic school for March and hope to be a medic in March of '10. I love everything about the job and love making a difference in people's lives. My other half is a firefighter in a city and an emt-b as well. So we definitely have a lot in common and I don't mind listening to him and his friends talk shop, they're my brothers now too! Just like the women and men on my department, I have just as much if not the same amount of love for them as I do for my family
Relationship Status:

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Why I Love Fire/EMS
Helping people and calming them down
Top Issues Facing Responders:
There are a lot of safety issues now a days with maintenance on engines, ladders, cruisers and rescue apparatus. Brakes, faulty wiring. It's really very cruicial that the problems are identified and taken care of in a timely manner because you run the risk of hurting yourself and potentially others if problems are not solved.
