I am also a mother of five. I dispatch from home, currently on call 24/7. I do not take the initial 911 call, but am often on phone with reporting parties, getting additional information for my guys.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

In our area, lack of personnel, especially during the day, and response time, due to our rural, mountainous roads. It can easily take 45 minutes to reach people in the outlying areas of our District, in good weather and with personnel in town. When there's two feet of snow on the road, well, you can imagine.
