About Me:
Something I Loved But I'm disabled do to PTSD; Some people think it's a joke; But life in my shoes for just a week and they couldn't do it for a day. I had many of friends at one time but they are gone and lost a marriage ; And to this day my parents say I had a stroke and not a brake down. I know it's more then you wanted but I don't want any other " Brother or Sister " to go though what I do everyday.

They have to learn to take to the older one for help; Even after a very ruff call and don't hide and hold it in like I did for years because your a man and not to cry or let it hurt you.

Hi I'm Jim; I just have a short but to the point of doing the job you love to do. To me it wasn't just a job it was something I always dreamed as any other kid and did. I was a Firefighter, EMS Provider; Also a First -Aid CPR Instructor for the Red Cross and The American Heart Ass. I had done this for seventeen out of twenty one years. Tomorrow I am flying down to Palm Springs to help give a presentation to some Southern Calfornia Chiefs about PTSD and how West Coast Post Truma Retreat was started. Looking forward to it. I saw that you started a group about PTSD. I also had job related PTSD and got help thru West Coast Post Trauma Retreat. (www.wcpr2001.org) Because I was helped so much thru WCPR and there doesnt seem to be much help for firefighters with PTSD, I decided to do what I can to help spread the word the firefighters do get PTSD. I also help at the WCPR retreats. Also, in June of this year I am climbing Kilimanjaro to raise money for WCPR. (www.climb4first.org) Good luck with your PTSD and if you need anything let me know.
