Hi I'm Jim; I just have a short but to the point of doing the job you love to do. To me it wasn't just a job it was something I always dreamed as any other kid and did. I was a Firefighter, EMS Provider; Also a First -Aid CPR Instructor for the Red Cross and The American Heart Ass. I had done this for seventeen out of twenty one years. Started out as just a firefighter and worked my way from there. The thing is from there I didn't care for myself as I should have and just made twenty six hours out of a day even if there is no such thing. I had lost a marriage and a daughter out of this also. And yes I lost some brother firefighter and EMS family members also. And it's all because of this illness that is so very true PTSD. Don't turn away, I just want to say it's the call to duty that to this day I miss and just want to help in any way I can to help keep you on the front fire line and not to do the mistakes I did. As you must know I do see a therapist once a week. To help me deal with the pressures now of every day things because I still to this day try to do ten things at once like being on a call. And now that I know first hand what this is like. There is so much more I can tell you. I just want you to know there is someone here that ware the same fire boots and not to scare or chase anyone from this job. And to point i have remarried to a wonderful woman that understand me for me and walks by my side each and every day
If there is anything to help and point you in the right way I'm willing to help because in the long run it helps me to help others once more. And just know it's baby steps climb the ladder one Rog at a time.
Thank You; P.S. As soon as the first or second week of April I have found a Group to help in part of working with me the group is well know and in time will be nation wide the group is"Another Life Foundation" (ALifeF). And as soon as I get more info. There will be more to come because this is a very good group to be teamed with for the helping of others. And sorry it's taken sometime to get this group off the ground, But there is a lot of planning and layout that had to be made for this to work.
Thank You; Jim Mc Laughlin ( Maxwellhouse B21 )

Jim:
Congratulations on your "awakening".
It is a rare gift that you give to someone else who can learn from your Life's experiences.
Be proud.
