I have been in the Fire Service for 14 years. I have saved a little boy in a house fire. I have saved a choking subject. I went to help with the Red Cross when Hurricane Katrina hit. I was in TX.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I lost both of my parents in horrible accidents. My mother in a house fire and my father in a tree trimming accident.
Ever since then I have wanted to help people. I'm a paid firefighter and also I'm a volunteer fireman in our hometown.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Alot of people outside the fire service don't realize the amount of training that's involved in becoming a fireman. We risk our lives for everyone and the bond that fireman carry for one another.

I feel some people are careless when it comes to their safety and the safety of others.
