Im a line officer with a small rural volunteer dept. Recently it was brought to my attention that some of my guys are getting bored with training. Does anyone have any new training ideas that may catch the attention of my dept?
Occasionally our department splits into teams and plays 1/2 court basketball in full PPE (including SCBA). There are 2 designated coaches that must also wear full PPE (including SCBA). It makes for a great challenge to communicate as a coach from the sidelines. The coaches are not allowed to leave their designated coaching box. Play five minute quarters without stopping the clock except for timeouts. But only one timeout is allowed per quarter. The players cannot come off air unless they are substituted by another player. You must have a referee. It's Fun, but man what a workout.

I was wondering if I too could get a copy of your jeopardy game. I am in a small department with about 50 members. And we are always looking for something new and different.
For some of us it is a good time to review ice or water rescue with spring thaw starting. Smaller communities can access water settling ponds or a lake near by. Get out the gear cut a hole and go through some great refresher training or bring in a trainer for a weekend and get a team ready for spring. For us we are bringing in an instructor to add on to our team from last year.
Here is the jeopardy game that I have sent to numerous people on here. I was just checking things and noticed it is still a popular request. Feel free to change as needed. The sound file may be needed in your folder as well to make it work.
