My name is Mike, our deparment has total of 4 boats. We are located in Virginia about 10 miles south of Washington DC. Current fleet is 2005 39' Metal Craft Fire Boat, fully inclosed cab (capasity 8) powered by twin deisel with jet drives, 1250 GPM Darley fire pump, 2007 28' Metal Craft Fire Boat, powered twin desiel with jet drive, 1250 GPM fire pump, 18' ridge hull rescue boat and 14' Zodiac swift water rescue boat. Training is mainly done during summer time, for operator we require USCC Captains course, and maintain minimum 80 hrs year to remain certified, crew must consist of operator, EMT and firefighter as minimum crew. We routinely have mutli jurisdiction drills which include surrounding areas with approximately 8-10 boats from search and rescue to boat fire drills.

Just found this group. I am a chief for a volunteer dept in western Maine that runs an airboat year round for water, ice rescue, dive team support and access to islands for firefighting purposes. I also am a lieutenant in a career dept and am assigned to the marine division ( we have a 65' fireboat, a 42' rescue boat and a 22' work boat) all in the water year round in Casco Bay (Portland, Maine). The 65' fireboat is due to be replaced next year (Feb-March) with a new one which is presently under construction in Nova Scotia. I will try to post some photos if there is any interest. I'll also try to find the link to the thread online to view some pics of the new fireboat being built.

I can see the need for us to add a small boat . Hopefully we will do it within the next 2 years. We are just north of Millwood lake and have an automatic aid agreement with cottonshed fd which is on the lake.Right now the Howard co.SAR team has a boat and Dierks fire has jet skies ,these are the only watercraft in the county.

Was thinking you all thought I was mad at you. I got two invites for this group. Keep the rubber side down and be safe this weekend.
