Hey guys are trucks are white since the founding of our deoartment in 1953. We have kept with our tradition!

It's not the color or how new the truck is that makes it look good but how well the men are trained that drive and operate them BE SAFE!!!

Red is just the traditional color and even most of those that are Red are not the proper Red that started the tradition back a long time ago, way before any of us in here were even created...

I finally got some pictures up of some of the trucks on my profile. They are white and the newest ones have purple and glod stripes down them. Purple and gold are the school's colors. The only truck that isnt white is the "new" ladder and it would cost too much to paint it.

Well, we hear a lot about not being ripe, leaving them out in the sun, etc......but I still say, they are more visible, particularly in the daytime........oh, bring the school bus over, or where is the Central Husdson (power company)truck?

why because it was free ,being from a small dept and not having alot of money we got this for $1.. I myself I like the color so when we went looking for a brush truck.. Got the same deal from another area paid a $1 for it and it is the same color .. These are old military engines..
