Hi everyone, just joined the site. I'm a volunteer firefighter from central Victoria, Australia, returning to the service after a 20 year hiatus due to being in the city (where there's no volunteers) for that time. I'm gay with a partner, and am out to many in the brigade, but that's been a non issue, I attend social functions with my partner, and we get invited together.

I'm still fairly early in training with wildfire qualifications only at this stage (looking to get on a structural course). I'm also a member of our running team, which competes against other fire brigades during the summer months, which also provides a good excuse to keep the fitness up. I have some videos on YouTube that shows what this involves.
