About Me:

I'm the sole female on my fire/rescue department. I joined because I needed to turn my life around and did I ever! I'm now a firefighter/EMT-B, the Fire Chief's Assistant, the EMS Coordinator's Assistant, NFIRS Coordinator and secretary to the Fire Commission. I'm the number one responder for my department. The thing I love most, other than helping those in need, is the "brotherhood". I'm just one of the guys.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

To turn my life around. I was in with a bad crowd and doing things that would no doubt make my time on Earth short. My brother was on the same department and he did a little intervention, got me on the department and life has never been so good!

Why I Love Fire/EMS

What's not to love?!

Top Issues Facing Responders:

The number one issue I face is working together as a team with our police department. It's such a small town and our police force doesn't understand the incident command system or that it's OUR scene.
