Hey folks ! I hope your fishing season is going better than mine this season. I haven't had much time to go this year and the days I'm able to go I either have no luck or its raining. So good luck to you, and happy fishing !!!

Hi all!

Wanted to say hi and I hope that your summer is starting out real good...Out here in California...well...think we are going to burn all summer! The lightning strike fires of central and northern CA used to happen in Sept/Oct...crazy weather!!!

Had a wonderful week long fishing trip up in the eastern sierra with my fishing buddy, Ben. What a great time and some really great therapy!!! The Bishop,Ca Chamber of Comm just happened to be sponsering a fishing derby...so we had to sign up! They had 5-$500.00 tagged Alpers Trout..no I did not get one of them...but I sure tried hard! Did catch lots of trout though...Brookies, Golden, Rainbow and Alpers and got a great Farmers Tan too! (and a better attitude!) Damn...can not wait to retire! will post some photos of the trip soon...

Spring salmon season on the Columbia river is pretty much a bust this year, all the feds, state agencies, and tribes have finally agreed to NEVER agree about any salmon recovery. They all want to do is POUR $$$$ in a sink hole that will do absolutely produce no salmon.

Probably the worst part is the tribes will still be putting the nets in the water to kill anything swimming by so the sportsmen will have little chance to catch anything. And then they scream they are not getting thir share. Seems like the treaty they have for fishing rights has turned into a commercial fishing license.
