About Me:: I have been around here for 30+years and yep I am a grandma now! I have pretty much done it all now and would not change a single moment!!! I am a public safety dispatcher now and will be until I retire. It is a little easier on my seasoned bones. Love to spend time with my family, fishing, camping, hiking, gardening, painting in watercolor medium and photography and so much more...

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I was born this way! LOL! Public Safety has always been my way. I was the kid that always helped others, animals, and I even held funerals when my critters passed on...LOL!

All silliness aside...I have always held the passion in my heart and soul to serve and protect others.

Side Note...I was born on the same day as Florence Nightingale :o)

Why I Love Fire/EMS: The Life Style... excitement...compassion... Helping others...

Top Issues Facing Responders:: Biggest issue is lack of funding...especially with our many volunteer departments in the US.

Many women in the fire service are pioneers...and deserve to be heard from and respected as they have worked alongside males and in many cases....get the job done differently but with no fanfare...awesome

Although I have only been a firefighter for three years I have had my fair share of small gloves that were still too big and pants that went up to my belly button! I was wondering if you could take the time out of your busy schedule to share some of your favorite/best fitting/most functional products for female firefighters. Weather it’s an awesome fitting pair of pants, A polo shirt that has sleeves that do not go down to your elbows, a pair of great gloves, or boots that have an awesome fit.
