I retired my first search and recovery partner yesterday. Boomer worked for 9 years doing, cadaver, live, & drowning work. In his 9 year career Boomer worked the Pentagon recovery operation following the attacks of 9-11, 12 drowning victim recoveries, and numerous homicide and missing person searches. The retirement ceremony was attended by 125 people Boomer had touched or they had a hand in his career. I have mixed emotions on his retirement, but I always said I would retire him before the work hurt him. I am sure (as I try training his replacement Zeus) that Boomer was a once in a lifetime friend, companion and partner. He can just relax and play now. Thanks for leting me share.
