My grandfather volunteered in the Vally out in California so I would say I am a second generation as well

4th Generation Firefighter - I have family who severed as firefighters, to chiefs. Most prominently, chief of an Air base and Air Force 1.

I am a 3rd. My grandfather was a fireman in the volunteer fire department, My father was the commander of the Fire Department and I am a firefighter ... It's in our blood...

Your welcome and thank you. I'm proud of what my family has accomplished in the fire service. Much more then I so far.

I am a second generation firefighter. My father was a charter member of the Barren River Vol. FD in KY, and I started making runs with him 6 months later, when I was fifteen. Legally joined FD when I turned sixteen. that was 36 years ago! Sixteen years VFD, then 20 years career with the Glasgow (city) FD.
