water ball equipment needed
i am trying to figure out where i can buy the equipment for waterball. a few of the guys including me participated in a water ball tournament for the first time and needless to say got whipped. so we want to practice for this year. any ideas on where we can get the equipment? thanks

equipment...? Two poles a ball on a wire or chain.....thats it....if you guys can't figure that out get a hold of me.....I will show you which end of the hose the water comes out of.....LOL

Ohhhhh........I was about to ask for a clarification on what exactly water ball is. But it sounds an awful lot like the barrel fights we have here. We actually use an empty keg painted bright yellow or orange. You probably would need to contact a local utility company to see if they can donate and set two poles for you. Beyond that, you should be able to gather the rest of the supplies on your own.

you might try the kids "bouncy ball" that has the handle molded into the rubber for the kids to hang onto. That should make for a good tartget. Try your local toy section at W-mart.

I have never known of a dept. to buy waterball equip. Either you can make your own set of poles and anchor them to a truck with a cable stretched between and a keg, or I have seen a set up with two tow trucks with booms and a cable between them. Both set ups are simple. You might even be able to borrow a set from a different dept. and copy them.
