Chief of Verbena Volunteer Fire & Rescue.

Day job is County E-911 Dispatcher.

Dispatch for 15 volunteer fire & rescue units, 5 law enforcement agencies, 2 ambulance services, any other agency assigned to the county.

Chief Mike Young. Part time paid volunteer Chief, Assistant Police Chief ( full time) and Court - Probation officer ( part time). Im busy but I love it.

I have been Asst Chief for our dept. for 20+ years. Our Chief's day job is Emergency Management Director for Rogers County and the City of Claremore so if anything big or special happens guess who is doing the chief's job for us. I work as a security/ems supervisor for large pipe company. We are a title 19 unpaid all volunteer dept. in Oklahoma

Chief of the Department. Actually I am also the County Fire Chief which is a Volunteer position.. I am full time paid Chief over 40 Volunteers in our Department. And thats a day, night, weekend and holidays job. I wouldnt change it for anything though.

I Volunteer postion is Chief and it has been a learning process for me trying to take the different personalities on fire Department. We have 25 members we respone to about 380 runs per year. But i would not give it up for nothing Firefighters are the best family in the world. Have to cut it short have to go to work.

I AM Chief of a Volunteer Fire Department however I am full time paid. That is my 24 hours a DAY job.
