Red Shirt Friday

The City of Biddeford Fire/Rescue Department Local 3107 now wears a custom Red Uniform shirt on duty each Friday.  The shirts show our support for the Men and Women of the United States Armed Forces, past and present.  The shirts have generated interest from the public, and has been a great conversation starter with public.  Let me know what you think?

We do the same thing. Those working on Friday's can wear the red shirt while on duty and shirts are also sold to the general public. All proceeds go towards helping vets, some money went to helping a disabled vet remodel his home, some monies have gone to troops overseas. Overall it has been very successful and is a great way to support the vets.

Cool Idea Ken. We have a local RED SHIRT group that sponsors many local events to show support of our troops. I think I will contact them and see if they will be ok with us doing something like this. I like this idea. Thanks for sharing Ken.

Lots of red shirts here supporting the troopsbut not specific fire department shirts.Good idea I'll see if we can do something like it also cause lord knows they could use all the support they can get.But I hope some guys out there will realize why we are wearing them and not call us whackers

Fire Departments all over the Commonwealth of Massachusetts have had "Red Shirt Fridays" for te last few years.
