MANILA, Philippines — Flood victims trudged through ankle-deep sludge to crowded relief centers in the Philippines, as the death toll rose to 246 from waters that submerged the homes of more than 2 million people.
Another tropical storm was headed toward the southern Philippines and could hit on Wednesday afternoon, government forecaster Malou Rivera said. Officials fear more heavy rain could flood already hard-hit areas, and complicate cleanup efforts

As another storm barrels into the Philippines, many communities in the Mega Manila area remain underwater, unreached or under-reported. Five days after tropical storm 'Ondoy' dumped a record amount of rain on the metropolis, the full extent of the disaster is still unfolding.
Parts of Marikina and Pasig in Metro Manila and the provinces of Bulacan, Laguna and Rizal remained flooded, forcing hundreds of thousands of residents to remain in evacuation centers

MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER, Japan (NNS) -- The U.S. military is providing critically needed disaster-relief supplies to mitigate suffering and prevent further loss of life in the wake of Tropical Storm Ketsana, which struck the Philippines Sept. 25.
"Marines and sailors are working with the Philippine government to rapidly deliver humanitarian assistance and disaster relief to the areas the Philippine government deems most in need," said Marine Corps Lt. Col. Douglas Powell, spokesman for the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF).

Like I've mentioned to the other thread. U.S. Marines convoys have pass through downtown Pasig City going eastward towards the flood zone. It's a first time an American forces operated in Pasig since world war II.
To the former marines active or reserve in this FFN. Thank you guys !
