The Social Network & Community JUST for Firefighters
Not quite new, but back again.
Hey all,
I joined up back in 2008, while I was still with my previous department, but didn't really get online enough to be an active particpant in any of the forums, but I'm back again to give it another go, now that I have a little more access.
The name's Laurie, I'm currently a substitute teacher and part time security guard hailing from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. I was a member of Coxheath Volunteer Fire Department from March 08 to September 09, when I resigned my spot to concentrate on a term teaching position. During that term, I moved, so when my schedule lightened up, my fiance and I opted to join Sydney River Fire Department together back at the end of April. I love my new department, and I'm hoping to start my MFR training in September and Level 1 training in October.
Anyhow, that's it for me. Talk to you all on the boards. :)
