Like an adrenaline shot to the heart, Trauma is an intense, action-packed look at one of the most dangerous medical professions in the world: first responder paramedics. When emergencies occur, the trauma team from San Francisco General is first on the scene, traveling by land, by sea or by air to reach their victims in time. From the heights of the Transamerica Pyramid to the depths of the S.F. Bay, our heroes must face the most extreme conditions to save lives, and give meaning to their own existence in the process.
From executive producer Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights), Trauma is the first high-octane medical franchise to live exclusively in the field, where the real action is.

Cool!!! Another chance to play "Find the mistakes!!!"
And I can't wait until the next time I walk up on one of the EMT's cleaning body fluids out of the back of the rig to ask "How's that high-octane medical franchise coming along?"
And it is not my intention to rile any of the EMT's out there, but "one of the most dangerous medical professions in the world"?
I would think it ranks somewhere below White Shark Orthodontist and Elephant Proctologist. Oh, and Madonna's Gynocologist.

I do have to say that the clip makes it look as if the show will be a good one. I am a firefighter/EMT and can't wait to see what this show will have to offer. I think what is meant by "the most dangerous medical profession" is due to how EMT's or any type of first responder be it firefighter, EMT, paramedic, whoever, that is the first person in on a scene, has to deal with more dangers from the patient, patient's friends or family at the scene, and the scene in general, than do staff in a hospital. We're the ones sitting in the cars with sparks coming at us while extricating a critical patient from a wreck. We're the ones trying to stop the bleeding from patients who are unconscious that for all we know have an incurable disease. We're the ones running into the burning buildings to get the people out to safety. So in my eyes, yes, EMS is one of the most dangerous medical professions in the world. The hospital is a lot more of a controlled environment, we are not as lucky in the field. Although I do have to agree with the Elephant Proctologist.....that's just a scary thought alltogether lol

"No brain damage, just and A hole with a concussion," Other than that line, the rest of the trailer was hoaky.
C'mon, they can't even break a sweat when doing CPR?
Hollywood has obviously never seen a fuel tanker explode.

If it's not loosely based on "Mother, Juggs and Speed" starring Bill Cosby, Raquel Welch and Harvey Keitel, then I will have trouble buying into its realism.
Which reminds me; I need to buy another copy of M, J & S. My other one is worn out.
I still say that they need to re-tool Third Watch and bring it back.
