LAPD Searches for Patient Who Stabbed Firefighter
LOS ANGELES - Police are searching for a suspect who stabbed a firefighter in downtown Los Angeles.
Officer Rosario Herrera says the attack occurred Tuesday morning and the firefighter was taken to a hospital in stable condition. She says she had no immediate details on the circumstance that led to the stabbing.
Officers closed several blocks to search for the attacker.
Fire Department spokesman Devin Gales declined to provide further details, citing the ongoing investigation

Was very surprised that this happened. From what my son tells me this firefighter/paramedic is up for paramedic of the year at LAFD. From all accounts a really good guy. Lousy station assignment in that neck of the woods that much I can say living out here. Son also says he was DC'd from hospital yesterday and is resting at home. Get well.
