our pagers and PDTs give us address (including building name such as Evergreen Apts or Morrison Hall), type (such as 31C which would be a Charlie medical call), nature (such as overdose, chest pain, etc), tac (radio freq), trucks (CE1 C20 CM1), map #, cross streets, and incident #
Our county sends tones on a separate channel so the station alerting system is set off.
We will get long beeps of one to three depending on the call.
Then we get the address and cross streets and type of call Box Area number using the repoanding station number and area number the call is in.
Engines, Trucks or squads or other special services or units request to the call, chiefs and channel the call will switch to.
EMS calls will be no beeps or one beep type of call and ems units and ems officer dispatched and channel.
Most calls will dispatched almost the same.
beep beep beep beeeeeeeeep.
